I understand because I’ve been there.

When I first came to Christ, I genuinely wanted to change. I wanted to leave behind the habits, sins, and vices that had controlled my life for years.

So I did what many Christians do.

I attended Bible studies. I found accountability partners. I prayed. I fasted. I asked others to pray for me. I listened to sermons. I tried harder.

Yet I kept finding myself back in the same struggles.

The same temptations.

The same failures.

The same disappointment.

There were moments when it felt like nothing was working. Moments when I wondered if real change was even possible.

But over time, something began to change.

Not because I suddenly became stronger. Not because I discovered a secret formula.

God slowly opened my eyes to truths I had overlooked.

I began to understand who I was in Christ. I saw my sin differently. I saw God’s grace differently. And most importantly, I began to see what Jesus had truly accomplished on the cross.

For years, I knew the gospel, but I didn’t fully understand how deeply it applied to my daily battle with sin.

I knew I was forgiven, but I wasn’t living from the new identity God had already given me.

As God’s Word took deeper root in my heart, my thinking began to change. My desires began to change. My decisions began to change.

Not overnight.

But gradually.

The Bible studies helped. The sermons helped. The fellowship helped. God used all of it.

And the transformation didn’t stop with my spiritual life.

It affected how I viewed money. How I handled responsibilities. How I made decisions. Even my finances began to improve because my perspective was changing.

That’s why Word Anchored exists.

Not because I’ve arrived.

Not because I’ve figured everything out.

But because I know what it’s like to feel stuck.

I know what it’s like to love God and still struggle with the same sins. I know what it’s like to feel frustrated, discouraged, and tired of starting over.

And I know the life-changing power of being anchored in God’s Word.

Our mission is simple:
